Disappointed in 2K's effort
So 2K just updated their rosters, the signing of Seth Curry by the cavaliers being reflected in the update. But there is one problem, his face is a recycled legend face. His player profile picture isn't even him, it's the legend. I mean how much effort does it take to make the picture Seth curry instead of the legend. 2K I know your busy, but please try to put some effort into your rosters.

NBA Players have to sit down with the 2K team to get their head scanned into 3D.
Not every player in the league has wanted to / or done it.
2K travels around the country to visit different teams & scan the players (Usually on 'media day', or after a game, or after practice... when the whole team is guaranteed to be in the SAME place, like at the arena)
But some refuse to get their head scanned, (or maybe just too tired), or just too busy (with charities, or 'appearances' , or tv commercials, or celebrity events, etc.) on the day that 2K is in town.
Bear in mind, because of NBA contracts, 2K cannot use old photos.
They must use the most up-to-date image available.
Or have their 3D artists create a 'likeness'.
If a player gets traded... legally 2K cannot just use his old headshot from his old team (that probably still owns the copyrights to the image) without permission.
Who knows? Maybe Seth Curry does not have any recent 'approved' pics yet that 2K can (legally) use.
Because the image has to get approved by the Cavs, the NBA, plus any 2K stakeholders / executives before it gets into the game.
Or maybe he hasn't gotten his head scanned yet since he got traded, like the other guys.

From the way the 2K technology works...
