Xbox one voice commands

I know there's been reports that the ps4 voice command don't work but within the past week they haven't worked for me on the Xbox One. Just to make it clear this is a new problem for me as they have worked in the past. Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know of a fix.

personally i wish there was a way to turn off the kinect commands for the game. i dont know why but it very rarely understands what i actually call and half the time it picks up other people talking and calls random things that no one actually says. i dont have that problem with any other game.

to turn off voice commands go to options, game settings. near the bottom is the option to enable/disable voice commands.


on another note i used the technique from this video to set kinect voice for my headphones. the voice commands seem to register more when you speak into the microphone on the headset.

I've gotten several technical fouls because of kinect.

I use voice commands in just about every game i play for things like quick post up and quick iso.

I haven't had any issues with it.

Sometimes it doesnt recognize when im calling timeout in mycareer. Thats the only gripe ive had with it.

i've had that problem too. i think it's easier to just use the buttons for that though. But for quick plays it's a real pain to do it with the controller so i'm glad the kinect works for those.

From day one my voice commands never worked for xbox 1. it works to turn my system on/off and to get from one app to the other...but in game it NEVER worked. i.e. set screen, double team etc.

Have you checked your kinect settings? Maybe redo all that stuff. I know for me at first the kinect wasn't hearing me but i redid the set up and it's been fine. I don't have any issues in game, with the tv, or even apps or tv while on my pretty loud eliptical machine which is about 10 feet from the kinect sensor.

Well it works when I go home, switch between apps, or turn the xbox off. It seems that the problem is within the actual game. I used to call a zone just by speaking it by now it won't register anything. It doesn't even say unknown command. It acts as if it didn't hear me or if I didn't say anything at all.

Apparently our english is not the same as the states theres no option for canadian english only canadian french....2k thinks all canada only speaks french like in madden 25 the help menu is french....thanks too ea..

....ya I dunno...it's only NBA 2k14 where my voice doesnt work like I said. I've calibrated it several times..oh well
