The points of emphasis system is an abomination. I want to be able to manually set how I want to defend the pick n roll, and which players I want to play tight or sag off, etc. All POE does is take control away from the user.

Hell, why can't they just patch it into 2K14?

There's no word on if this will be back in the game next year.
Personally, I think the PoE do work but you should be able to fine-tune and customize it yourself. Sometimes you just want to play tight on a couple of players and you should be able to set this independetly of the PoE.

Why do I have to play tight on Dennis Rodman when I want to play tight on Dennis Scott. Thats why it doesnt work. Or I want "Nothing Inside" but if Stephen Curry is at the 3pt line get in his face.

Question, is there a setting to make the CPU not help? Like I want to slack off D on ball but when I do the cpu runs and covers him.

I like the POE system, especially on offense with the auto playcalling system. I still feel as though if I want a certain player to be played tightly, I can make that adjustment so my defender wouldn't drift away to the paint because they think or know someone is driving and give up an easy 3.

POE is only a good thing in addition to manual defensive settings otherwise as OP said it's an abomination.

I doubt it's coming back. 2K has changed.

Yeah they have taken control away and want us to play the game their way. This is ridiculous, I hate POE. It doesn't work and the CPU always does what it wants, I'm so sick and tired of brain dead teammates AI on defense and loose ball situations. Why does every block go back to the CPU and loose balls going out of bounds almost EVERYTIME goes to the CPU. 2k has taken a step back and live isn't in the realm yet but hopefully if live can get it's brain back we might see better games thru competition.

Exactly. A combination between the two would be great if you could set.
