Milwaukee Bucks 2K15 Forecast
It's early (pre-draft and free agency) but I'm already excited about the potential outlook for the 2K15
Milwaukee Bucks. There is a strong chance that Milwaukee starts next season with a roster that translates very well to video game basketball, making the Bucks a dynamite team to use in both MyGM and online matches.
Assuming the Cavs select Joel Embiid 1st overall,
Andrew Wiggins is practically a lock to land in Milwaukee with the second pick (don't buy into any Jabari Parker smokescreens).

Length and Defense
Pairing the 6-8 Wiggins with 6-9 "Greek Freak"
Giannis Antetokounmpo gives you two lengthy defenders and explosive athletes in the open court. Then toss in
Larry Sanders at center with
John Henson at power forward, and you have a pair of elite pogo-stick defenders to control the paint and glass. Regardless of whoever you decide to play at point guard, probably
Brandon Knight, you'll have a core of four freakishly long athletes who will make it very difficult for other teams to score points.
(Imagine adding Andrew Wiggins to this total wingspan)
The Bench
Now let's take a look at the talent you'll have coming off the bench. Of course, the entire roster (starters included) is subject to change depending on how Milwaukee handles the offseason as well as their own free agents, but as it stands today, here is what we have for mostly-guaranteed bench options:
O.J. Mayo - He played 6th man in Memphis, and he can certainly offer you some punch off the bench for your Bucks. With a projected starting lineup of Sanders, Henson, Antetokounmpo, Wiggins, and Knight, you may struggle to score some points. Insert O.J. Mayo as your sixth man, and you have some instant offense off the bench.
Ersan Ilyasova - He struggled mightily last season, but when Ilyasova is on his game he is one of the better stretch-4's in the NBA. Not only does he offer floor spacing, but he is a very good offensive rebounder as well. Using him off the bench is probably the best way to utilize his skills, as he lacks the defensive skills you want from a starter.
Nate Wolters - Wolters has potential to be a solid backup point guard. He struggled with his shot last season, but his college numbers suggest he'll be just fine in the NBA. I plan to develop him in MyGM, perhaps utilizing him as my point guard of the future.
Khris Middleton - A fantastic season for Middleton may actually have him in the Bucks starting lineup instead of the "Greek Freak." For 2K15 purposes I have him coming off the bench, offering some offensive punch and floor spacing.
Carlos Delfino - He can handle the ball as a point forward. If the Bucks draft Wiggins, Delfino may become expendable. For now, we'll use his versatility off the bench.
Zaza Pachulia - Overpriced and very average, Zaza is the backup center for your team if the Bucks don't bring back Epke Udoh. There's a good chance I will ship him out in MyGM.
Overall 2K15 Projection
As it stands today, the Milwaukee Bucks have potential to be one of the most exciting dark horse teams to use in 2K15. Most of Milwaukee's roster is young, making them an ideal candidate for a MyGM rebuild. For online games, the sheer athleticism and defensive possibilities the Bucks players possess is perfectly suited for 2K basketball. 2K has a tendency to make gameplay that caters towards players with high vertical and dunking ratings; making said players extremely overpowered (see Gerald Green). Wiggins and the "Greek Freak" will likely be very overpowered online.
When using the Bucks you may struggle to score points, particularly in the paint, as neither Sanders nor Henson possess any dominant post moves. You'll likely be perimeter oriented, with Brandon Knight, Wiggins, and O.J. Mayo handling most of your scoring. Defense will be a lot of fun. If you enjoy blocking shots and gambling for steals, Milwaukee is the perfect team for you. For anyone planning to rebuild the Bucks in MyGM, your first look, if you're not sold on Brandon Knight, will likely be to find a point guard for the future.
