    If there isn't a demo on 2k15?

If there isn't a 2k15 demo, will you buy the game or rent it or just ignore?

To me personally, I wouldn't buy it, I might check out some reviews and buy it a couple of weeks later, but not pre-order it.

Ummm don't quite get what your looking for so early in the cycle. I don't need a demo, I already know what we're getting.

Pre-order and day 1 buy. Last year was their first foray into the next gen arena. 2k's track record is pretty good overall, they have earned the benefit of the doubt IMO. This VC stuff worries me, though.

Agreed with this, Day 1 buy with Preorder even though I hate VC and am quite a bit worried about it.

If it worries you, why are you gonna pre-order? Not judging you just wondering why don't you wait and read a few impressions before buying?

          I don't really understand that pre-ordering culture.

I have faith the game itself will be good, even with the VC. I HOPE that 2k recognizes how annoyed most 2k players were with some of the VC aspects, so I anticipate it being removed (or decreased), from MyGM mode at the least.

If I may ask, with complete sincerity, what is your reasoning behind pre-ordering? Is it the pre-order bonus? If the pre-order bonus is not incredibly appealing, and you acknowledge you may be a little worried about VC, what would be the harm in surveying the situation first without pre-ordering and purchasing blindly?

To be certain, I do not ask that question as a criticism. I am very hopeful 2K returns to form this year as well, but pre-ordering does not seem as though it'd have an effect on those matters. I hope they shape up but I don't know if they'll shape up, so I am most definitely in the wait-and-see camp.

So you're going to buy it.. For me, I haven't been into the 2k series since 2k8 given how drastically downhill this series has gone. Gameplay concerns, tons of issues with online play and server stability. So in order to bring me back I will definitely need a good demo.

A preorder isn't necessary, but I just like to get the extra content that comes with preorders even if I don't use it. I'm gonna buy the game anyway, its just a little extra bang for the buck. NBA 2k has been a staple of my game lineup since 2k3 and the quality is always there for me. I just enjoy games for what they are at this point. If you have a record of quality releases with me, I support the product. I don't need to read reviews on GTA and the Batman Arkham series to know that I'm gonna like the game. While not perfect, they have delivered and I know what I'm getting for my money. Unlike Madden, NBA2K has delivered on a consistent basis. Madden is Ok, but a Next gen 2K14 feel off a bit with the VC stuff, but it is still hands down the best on court playing hoops game, IMO. They didn't release a demo last year (to my knowledge) and we all got about what we expected. I tried Live, and, no...but I do hope EA gets the title back up to par so we have options in the event 2K continues to nickle and dime us to death.

No demo necessary. What I need is:

-Remove the online requirements for basics like saving rosters
                      -Reinsert old defensive settings
-Improve gameplay at the rate they always have

Never pre-order, but I'll buy day one.

Mainly because I know this will be a game that I play pretty regularly, and I dont mind picking up the extra little things for a game that I get every year and know ill get my money's worth out of, (Even if I do despise having to use VC in every mode)

I keep telling myself that despite all of the doom and gloom within the community, 2k is quietly working on something special. I will admit that I wish they're sole focus was on simulating the game of professional basketball and recreating an accurate setting and atmosphere in which it was played. I'm not at all a fan of the vc and my player stuff. I just want an accurate representation of NBA basketball. With all this being said, I do have concerns about the direction of the franchise.

Due to they're proven track record I am absolutely buying the game day 1. I hope they can create a game that everyone can enjoy whether it's sim, online/offine, myplayer, or all the myteam card stuff.

I've been a preorder/Day 1 2k buyer since like 2k10 but that stops this year. Im waiting on the reviews for 2k15.

And i'm not talking about those first day, "Oh my gosh its so shiny!" reviews. I mean the few weeks later, "We are lowering the review score." reviews.

I'll be keeping an eye on both games.
