I'm thinking there has to be some catch to this they're not mentioning. Like a time limit on how long they can play with you. Game companies would lose a lot of sales because of this. They would probably need permission from the company too. You know 2k wants that moola and this feature would work the best on a sports game.

Could be a catch somewhere , but I was reading about it and sounds legit. They even used the example of inviting your friend to play the final of your nba 2k association. And they reffered to the service as a "virtual couch" that would alow you to play local co op games just like if your friend was there with you at your house.

I don't think this means it would hurt the sales, It would possibly even boost them. If you go to a friends' house and play a game there and you really like it you'll probably end up buying it for yourself so you don't depend on the person whenever you want to play it

There are ways right now to share full games between 3 ps4 users, and xbox one I think it has family sharing and the companies doesn't seem to be too upset about it.

Here is the article in case someone wants to check it

I doubt it would hurt game sales, it's really just a free demo. Seems like the user would only have access to a VS mode so I'm highly doubting that SharePlay would be available for MyLeague.

Playshare works as if someone was handing you the controller to play the game and only that person is playing the game. Not playing the game against each other

I have no idea how it will work but that isnt what the article says. I doubt that a virtual couch means a virtual couch with one virtual controller. The article even references more than one person playing at a time. But I will assume you have info from some other source stating what you just said? If so let us know where we can get the detailed description you have. Thanks for clearing this up.

Just out of curiosity, how big are the roster file sizes?

I have no idea. I just creat them and download them. Good question though. I am sure someone on this board knows this answer.

Straight from the article on PlayStation Blog.

"Let’s say that with games… you’ll be able to invite your friend online to play against the Miami Heat for the championship as the San Antonio Spurs in NBA2K"

To my knowledge it should work with NBA if they're promoting it before any other games.

Full article about the upcoming 2.00 update.
