I am interested on how Online Ranking work

Yea I use the Knicks but don't really lose when using them so I use the pistons and I have to say, I play muchhhhh better defense with the pistons plus on offense Drummond gets every board and if he doesn't monroe does too. I cam easily beat people using the thunder or especially the heat(their weakness is big men). I don't really care if they reward me for it because I know I'm THAT good to beat a top team and I know my opponent knows that as well

yeah...i played Live 10 and I loved how the ranking worked. if you beat a highly-ranked player, your ranking would jump a lot. It made the game feel more important because you knew if you beat the guy, it would make a huge difference in your ranking.

i don't know how 2k's ranking system works, but it would be nice if they gave us more feedback after winning a game to tell us how it affected our ranking.

as of now, it seems 2k's ranking is mostly just based on who plays the most games and who has the most wins, but not so much based on the "quality" of their wins...i don't know if this is true, but that's what it seems like.

for example...if I have only played 20 total online games, but I beat 3 top-five players, then I should jump into the top 100, because I had "quality" wins - I beat highly-ranked players, so I should be ranked highly even if I haven't played a large number of online matches.

leaderboards should go by win percentage but should have a minimun for games played that gets higher as the game get older best way to do it

On a sidenote 2k14 still allowed cherry picking by allowing users to quit the game when they saw you record with out getting a lost so unless they change that leaderboards dont matter to me anyway

Do we know if there are any leaderboards? Before we get into ranking, we should find out if we even have rankings/leaderboards.

There should be leaderboards and stat tracking for everything, especially in this day and age. MyCareer, MyTeam, etc. should all have leaderboards, online and offline records, or just combine both.

Just my opinion though. Would definitely add replay value for me.
