Agreed, I play online probably about 1% of the time and it is only against me nephew and couple of friends. Other than that I try to stay away from online play because of stuff like that.

The 0 skill involved alley oops need to go.

Timing window to complete it should be really thin on this.

Re: The straw that broke the camels back revisited

I really do understand where people are getting at with this thread, but the first and for-most problem out of all this is the people controlling the sticks. Out of up most respect to the people that are playing in this video, they make the real elite players of 2k look like Gods. Real elite players really don't play in these tournament or online that much, considering more than likely there circle is small yet full of people who display higher basketball IQs and try to implement that when they play. If we had more of the community actually playing a 2k game as a simulation to basketball then 2k wouldn't be looking for fixes like zig-zag, ally-oop, charge cheese, and other exploits but could actually focus on giving us great feature and better overall game each year.

I would love to interrupt the game and snatch up the controllers and throw them out the window. Everything about this video is a complete joke. Sadly this is what I would expect in playing NBA 2K online with randoms.

What's more sad is that 2K sort of promoted that kind of gameplay with that thing.

I guess I need to get off my "high horse" and just come to grips that people just care about highlights and oops and running around trying to score/win instead of actually playing basketball.

It's like this in every sports genre: find the game exploits and use it at all costs to win.

Not to be negative, but I've heard that every year. Until I see and experience it for myself, I can't take someone else's word for it.

Re: The straw that broke the camels back revisited

2k might want to bring in a second community team, get some people who play random ranked matches and people who compete in these tournaments to comes test out the game.

Have them all come in to test the beta a month or so earlier than the normal 2k community team and maybe this way 2k can catch problems early.

Sub-conciously they try their hardest to exploit the game to gain a win, so having them may help a lot along side those who sub-conciously try to play sim basketball and find problems.
