Two-Handed over Head Passing

Is it too late to request that this passing animation to be eliminated from this year's game and future games?

It's been a staple of past 2K Basketball games and it is still evident in videos of this year's game.

This isn't soccer and it does not look right in a basketball game. It almost never happens during a real basketball game let alone in a real NBA game on TV.

Stick to the one handed side passes, bounce passes instead and lay off those two-handed over head passing animation especially when the passer is running/moving on the court.

I think removing them completely would be overkill. Over head passes definitely occur in the real NBA, but I agree that they occur far too frequently and in the wrong situations in 2K.

It gets to me the most when I'm swinging the ball on the perimeter and my player is holding the ball at chest level. The most logical pass type in this situation is obviously a chest pass but of course the game chooses an over head pass. In the time that it takes my player to move the ball over his head and to release it, the defender has already moved into the passing lane to pick off the pass.

passes are higher and with them cpu hands coming up real quick theres going to be a lottt ofdeflections and tipped passes and even super catches even one handed ones lol game isnt even out and I can make those predictions mmm I dont hope that nightmare comes thru but to be honest they look ok I just hope they aint gone play a major turnover factor

Man. You said it all dude.
Players pass like that in practice on a walk thru maybe...
But never during full game speed and if so it's zipped there...
But to be honest, it's mostly 2 hand chest passes on the go...
I just don't understand why and how they keep passing this up...

I don't think I've ever made a 2 handed overhead pass in my life. Except when doubled by ankle biters or something.

Agreed with the subject in general, because in 2k the context is off...but I overhead pass all the time when i'm playing ball.

Maybe it's because I am usually the tallest guy on the court...or just the way I play...

Um, as someone who loves playing a center, I overhead-pass all the time.

It's called an outlet pass.

Wes Unseld got into the Hall of Fame largely because of it.
