Mine is looking near perfect...except that there seem to be two mouths. One game-generated mouth on top of my scanned one, half an inch higher. How do I fix this? Everything else looks and lines up correctly.

Basically yes. In the beginning of the scan he will say it. You will obviously listen to that one. Start by going left once he says it. If you pay attention to the percentage you will see it rise as you rotate slowly. They say 30 degrees, I did it about 45 or so. Didn't make much of a difference. then slowly rotate back to the center. From this point on you can ignore what he says. Once you rotate back to the center you will see the percentage at around 50 or so. If you want before rotating right you can slowly rotate left again. If you don't see the percentage rising then you know it has fully scanned that side of your face. Then you can start with the right side of your face. Again repeat what you did with the left side. Once it finishes with the right side you should be done. There shouldn't be anymore prompts to turn your face. Again it should be a quick scan. Anything longer then that or if it loses track of your face your reference points will take a hit.

I concur that I got my best scans when I only turned my head left and right once. I could see the percentage out of the corner of my eye and when turning to the left i get close to around 50% and as I work my head back around to the right it usually gets up to 100% as I get my head fully turned to the right. So definately go slow and only do one rotation of your head from left to right.

Three damn hours of face-scan this am and no success. I have followed ipodking's tips extremely close and I have great natural light!

Ok. Finally got a few that look decent. After struggle and having deformities. First, best results are in the daytime with some natural light. I still had terrible results with just natural lighting. So I held 2 cellphone flashlights (from the back camera obviously) out in front of my face. Also if you don't get the green box then back up and hold your hands out until it turn green, keep them there and slowly move your face where your hands are. Fill the box with your face, from forehead to chin, and keep your chin slightly elevated. Then slowly turn and I best results are when it scans fast. This one had 4408 reference points. Good luck.
