Re: Broadcast or 2K Camera?

ALWAYS have and ALWAYS will be a broadcast guy for life!! I buy and play 2K for the biggest reason of realism... 2K cam is not realistic to me at all, I've never watched a basketball game in yhat view... Only dunk highlights lol... And some people tell me they use it cuz it's easier to play like that... I don't need any help thank you lol

2K!!!!!!!

Re: Broadcast or 2K Camera?

2K cam...I tried broadcast a long time ago on 2k12.

(Yeah possibly the worst game to try it on but yeah..)

It was an awful experience.

I hated having to Icon pass everywhere and being forced to change the controls to make it ''easier'' (Absolute controls and such).

I rather play to have fun,I enjoy sim gameplay as much as the next guy but I don't want to gimp myself for the sake of ''realism''.

Re: Broadcast or 2K Camera?

Even though I started with Broadcast back in the day with Bomber McCray and the boys in Slam Dunk Super Pro Basketball on Intellivision, then later with Lakers vs Celtics on the PC, I can't play Broadcast anymore. For me, 2K Cam is so much better for playing the game as opposed to watching it.

PLAYING the game in Broadcast has nothing to do with realism. Besides a First Person view, if one is controlling the players in a game, no other view can be said to be more realistic than any other, especially not Broadcast view. I don't get into it with people who say that, but I've always found that to be a specious argument.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Re: Broadcast or 2K Camera?

I have always loved the 2k cam since it came to be. My only complaint is the ball dictating the camera angle. The perfect camera, to me ,would be the 2k cam being fixed where it is when you have the ball at the top of the arc. I hate when I'm in the corner or paint I have blindspots. I also play on absolute.

Re: Broadcast or 2K Camera?

Just thinking about this recently. I play NBA 2K on broadcast, because I like it to look like a game on TV. But, I play football and hockey with an up and down (so to speak) view, which doesn't look like a game on TV. I play soccer and basketball with a left/right view. I couldn't picture playing Madden in a broadcast type view since you can't see receivers deep downfield, but I'm sure some people can make it work. I guess for me, with sports games in general, it's broadcast if it feels playable.
