I specifically remember the Q&A where the producer (Wang, I believe) said (I'm paraphrasing) "No mastering the release doesn't mean a sure shot everyime"

I'm shooting pretty well from the field otherwise though
I've had like 10 green releases so far lol. Haven't missed one.

Has anyone figured what were the blue zones around the perfect release point inside the shot meter bar ?

Your shooting range.

It used to be the little "signal" bars in <2K14

Re: Have you missed a shot with the meter green?

Have you ever had a green shot meter with a hand in your face or in traffic? I can't remember if I have. Anytime I manage to get green it has been a fairly open jumper off a drive and kick, and haven't missed before.

I don't get the green often at all though I'm only playing on allstar sim at this point. Usually takes me a few weeks before I amp up the difficulty in sim mode.. I am having trouble getting the jumpshots right in this one. Not complaining though.

Not yet, but then again I rarely get perfect releases.

Yeah the perfect release point of a contested shot is extremely thin. Never had one actually. I find shooting to be pretty challenging.

Not unless I've been fouled or blocked.
