Nope. I've mastered Dragic's release and have gotten a perfect release numerous times, and he hasn't missed once. Even my MyPlayer who only has a 70 for both mid and 3pt has made all of his perfect releases.

Well that contradicts what we were told before the game's release.

I remember a dev saying something along the lines of, "even if you master Kendrick Perkins release, you wont get every one of his shots in".

Does anyone else remember that conversation on here?

It doesn't have to be a contradiction. I think too many are thinking the wrong way with this system. The new meter is essentially a melting pot of all factors that determine a shot, not strictly timing. It cannot be completely and totally mastered because the perfect window is always changing based on defense, stamina and streaks.
