momentum shots coming off of screens?

I am all for realism and improved physics, but everytime I hit Beal or Pierce off a screen they go into the drifting momentum shot animation.

I am trying to lead them to a spot on the floor so they can catch and shoot. Can they not do this?? Am I doing something wrong?

I believe they took this out. You use to be able to lead your player coming off the screen in 2 directions. It's not possible now. Lead passing leads to some horrible animations in this game.
