Playcalling off or on for mycareer mode?

Which setting results in the AI scoring more (assuming you aren't a PG, controlling the floor)? Freeform (playcalling off) or Sets (playcalling on)?

I played with both (didnt even know play calling was an option), currently playing with play calling. I mean if I just had to guess playcalling would result in more scoring by the cpu because theres a lot of possesions (i play 12 minute quarters all-star sim, dont force much) that don't have me touching the ball. Either way it's probably not too much different one way or another as long as you try to play in the flow of the offense.

I used to have auto play calling off, but it seemed like I had to many empty possessions, or I could tell the AI had no idea what to do. With auto play calling, I still get my points by fastbreaks or plays being called for me, but I've also noticed an increase in assist, and less turnovers

Depends on your position and whether you have the on court coach badge (doubtful).

As a PG I left it on during my first season. In year 2 I turn it off and run the offense myself.

3 different Mycareer and I have playcall off on all of them.

PG uses 3-2 set My SF uses the Pace set and my C is using swing, all of them with freelance offense set. And the basketball displayed is beautiful.

how do you know what set you run?

On Ps4 tap left on d-pad. Then R1 to bring up strategy. You can choose your set and your team actions

assuming left on a 360 controller is the same thing, it doesnt do anything for me as an SF who can't call plays.
