Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
I thought it was it was more for those coming off a screen and doing one of those leaning 3's. It pisses me off because I rather them just set their feet sometimes instead of doing that animation.Comment

Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
So if someones ratings are:
3pt : 80
Moving 3pt: 80
Will he hit them at the same clip or are Moving shots more difficult to make with the same rating? Ive seen some players whose moving rating was higher than the regular oneComment

Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
Judging by shootaround in mycareer, the moving one will be a lower percentage. I get consistently lower shot grades with a moving shot than a spot up and all the mycareer players have the same moving/standing shot ratings.Comment

Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
From my understanding the standing 3 point and standing mid range rating is for Catch and Shoot guys.
Moving 3 point and Moving mid range is for guys shooting off the bounce or coming off of a screen where the shoot from a non stationery position.
Think about it as a Mike Miller/James Jones catch and shoot 3 pointer vs a Jamal Crawford/Nate Robinson jack it up 3 pointer.Comment

Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
A moving shot is still going to be a lower quality shot than a set shot. What they're really affecting is the pre-shooting meter (and post-shooting meter).
The meter that highlights the player BEFORE you even take a shot is what's measuring the quality of the look. Once you do take the shot, measures that and determines whether "perfect timing" (100% guarantee of shot success) is possible.
I imagine this is why people are complaining about Perfect timing being easier w/ moving shots but nigh impossible with set shots. I'll bet they're the same timing windows even though they're lower quality looks.NBA 2K25 Roster: Real 2K Rosters - Modern Era

Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
This is 100% accurate. Standing 3pt shot refers only to catch and shoot and standing still while dribbling. Moving 3pt shot is any momentum shot whether its its off the dribble, coming off a screen, or catching and shooting in transistion when youre leaning. From my understanding the standing 3 point and standing mid range rating is for Catch and Shoot guys.
Moving 3 point and Moving mid range is for guys shooting off the bounce or coming off of a screen where the shoot from a non stationery position.

Re: Moving 3 pointer stat
Its for leaners and the pull up jump shot animations. You'll notice they have different ratings then a regular J.
I like the pull up this year. It's really great for pulling up on a fast break with no hesitation for an open shot while the D closes out the lane.Check out my gaming channel YouTube.com/OffTheBrinkTV for Tips, Tricks, Tutorials, Walkthroughs and Let's Play videos!Comment
