How do you stop perimeter players from cutting?

I run a 4 out 1 in set with space the floor. I can just be sitting there dribbling the ball without moving at all and my players in the corner will still cut to the basket.

I thought freelance or motion cuts were suppose to get your guys moving but if you want them to stay stationary you use space the floor? But for some reason they are just cutting on there own.

All everyone does online is switch from man to another man to another man bring them in the paint and when they switch off of them the CPU repositions them and they just keep constantly doing this. I want my 4 perimeters to stay on the perimeter and not move AT ALL, so that when they move the defender near them into the paint I can just hit me them with a quick pass.

Anybody have any ideas? This constant moving of defenders just makes things so chaotic that I don't want any movement at all.

Re: How do you stop perimeter players from cutting?

I could be entirely wrong, but 2 things come to mind. First being adjust the backdoor cuts slider. For years I have turned it down to no less than 5 but no more than 10 for both myself and the cpu. Less congestion and less cheese. Also I hate going to pass to a dude who just as I pass it takes off. The other thing being that space the floor I think (I'm probably wrong) kinda kills freelance coaching sets. I think some 2k youtuber mentions it with some fairly convincing proof.

Hope his helps.

Try setting the offensive set thing to Space the Floor. It may or may not help.

If I'm passing to the corner always push the stick toward corner I'm passing to...it's a habit I picked up from 2k13

They'll already be cutting before I pass them the ball. I want them to stay put so that when they move the defender into the paint I can hit them with a pass. But the perimeter player is cutting before I'm even able to pass them the ball.

I thought space the for was suppose to make them not move at all.

It's not 100%, but Icon lead pass them to the perimeter.
