Icon Double Team is Being Underrated..It is a Great Tool to Use on Defence

In this video I am giving a tutorial on how to implement ICON Double Team as a defensive weapon :




This is really fun to use because is got a good balance of risk & reward. The user needs to be able to recognize the right situation to send off the double, otherwise computer will punish you. Dialing up that blitz at the right time can be hella fun haha Let me know how this work's out for you guys ^_^

**Online though is a different story... I tested it online and because of lag + delayed movements, using icon double teaming on top of my protect the paint system can create 1-3-1 like chaos cheese in the half court....

Too bad this can't be used in mycareer.

I used to love playing as the center and using this in 2K11. Felt like I was able to run an actual defensive scheme.

I do it all the time online depend on the situation. I get killed a lot due to lag. It's impossible to play one on one defense.

I'm not a big fan of this unless you are controlling one of the doublers manually preferably the guy you bring to do the double.

But that's my opinion.

I know what you mean C2K ^_^ I would do a manual double too if CPU can handle the back line But once the blitz is sent off the defense is guarding the other 4 players with 3 defenders; 2K AI has no chance of handling such a complicated task. Give it a try being the big, it literally makes you feel like you are playing that Miami heat trap defence; the micro management and awareness involved is really fun ^_^

The problem with the strategy is your big is trained to play defense straight up based on everybody else doing the same. That's the reason he gets out of position. He doesn't know what he's supposed to do based on what you asked him to do either in auto or manually adjusted settings when you extend via L1.

It's a cleaner basketball strategy to manually double vs people. People don't like it when you obviously send two CPU defenders at them and roam with a third. Granted this is the CPU. I play alot versus people so I keep that in mind when I play versus the CPU and play the same whether I am playing vs either.

You can actually play the CPU straight up (or use your settings) and do just fine without the use of L1 manual double.

But you have to be very picky about when and where you manually double.
