Hop Jumpers, Hop Step Layups and Step Back Jumper Tutorial (Video Inside)

Sup guys. As I said in a few threads, I would be releasing a tutorial series and this is episode one.

I wanted to do this geared around My Career so for those trying to get certain badges, executing the moves in the tutorials should help a ton.

The first episode is about executing a hop jumper, a hop step layup and step back jumper pretty much every time you want to. With the controls menu having a few that were written incorrectly or explained ambiguously--it is hard to get the move you want to actuate consistently.

    I hope this helps: http://youtu.be/ZsZ2RpD1PPQ

    Update:
Episode 2 is now up: http://youtu.be/6UxWdTez58E?list=UUi...eCBHEtouHJH9fQ

Nice.. The hop step layup is by far my favorite move in the game. I recommend you trying to get good with it since you like being flashy (as I can tell from the sick cross over vids) as do I. It by far makes me feel like I have the most control in the paint.

Use it to create space and land a contact layup. Use it to pump fake then follow through over or under the big man. Use it to destroy the defense and pass out to the perimeter or use it to pump fake and flashy pass to your big for a wicked dunk or alley-oop.

Nice tutorial. I didn't realize the arrow was the below the guy you are controlling until I watched it.

I can't believe that I haven't been using the hop jumper anymore than I have prior to this. I was off yesterday and played all day.....used it numerous times in every game. I had been using the step back repeatedly....but not hte hop jumper. Hopefully I open up the shot creator badge soon.

but what if you're camera is different? (such as broadcast camera). it's impossible DRIVING TOWARDS the hoop FROM THE MIDDLE and doing a stepback cos you either point the left analog stick to the left or right.

*doing a stepback j, you have to point your left analog stick UP (cos it says in the controller settings "drive laterally (lateral)"

and this is one of the reasons i dont play broadcast. you could possibly change your controls to camera relative, that might help

The Hop Step layup is driving me crazy. Everytime I attempt it by holding R2 and left or right.....My player goes into a dunk.
