Never realized this. I don't use the shot meter/feedback. Always based my release on timing. Payed attention to it today and it's a minor issue based on the players release. Kyle korver releases at the peak of his jump. Mike James off the dribble releases at the peak also. All the people I shoot with I'm releasing at or near the peak.

Only time that's not true is if there is a defender near by and that throws off the timing.

In addition, distance and location of the shot will also have different release points

The biggest problem I have with this is that the quickest you can like get a shoot of is like 1.0 seconds you cant really do a catch and shoot and get a shoot off if you only have like .6 seconds and it looks wired to like everyone has been saying.
