Game Speed and the Clock

So, I've been experimenting with different game speeds, and have been watching both the game clock and the shot clock.

A question for the 2K devs, or anyone who may have an answer:

What is the relationship between game speed and the speed slider i.e. how does one get the game clock to sync with the shot clock?

I'm playing 12 minutes, and have been using game speed 50, quickness 40, and speed 70. Even though game speed was at 50, I noticed that the two clocks were not in sync. I lowered game speed to 40 just now, and that seems to help, but there are still times when it appears that one clock is about a second ahead/behind the other.

A few questions for the 2K devs, or anyone who may have an answer:
1. Why does the game clock continue to run during the few seconds between a made basket and the inbound?
.
Because the clock doesn't stop after made baskets.

Wait; that's right.

I feel like an idiot for not noticing that during real games.

Any idea on the other questions? Why don't the clocks appear to keep in sync at times?
