how do u stop Zig Zag cheese?

My ad vice is to stand your ground, if zigzagging toward basket let them come to you bodyup animation will occur. Only if there are truly moving east or west (wide ) then u need to do same. Zigzaggin towards basket is still moving forward stand your ground bodyups are your friend

i found avoiding the speed button helps a good deal. also most people who do the zig zag cheese do it alot. so once you stop them a few times they most likely wont try it for a little while. also try not to be all up on your opponent away from the paint. give them a foot and a half or so. close enough to close in on them when you see them pulling up.

whats even worse, when the zigzagger gets passed say Deron Williams with Jordan Farmar... he will drive into the lane and make contact with Garnett and shrug him off as if he wasn't there. I think this game is on Default online. No way that is Simulation, there is no contact.

I dont really like adding stress to my life so I dont play sports online anymore.

Tried the first week or so with about 3 games.

2 different guys were using the rockets. He did some type of slow movement around the 3pt line and hit a high percentage of 3s. Believe the dude shot 40-50ish. First online attempt since 2k7.

Dont really know what zig zag cheese is(can take a guess though) but there is some non-intense D animations that will free players up.

dont press turbo...that causes your player to do the ice skating as you would call it.....i honestly just recently tried that technique and its alot better...you aint gonna stop it all game but as long as you can get some key stops thats all that matters

It really helps to play with teammates who are good defenders. Meaning they know what team defense means....how to take advantages of angles, positioning, and rotations. Without good teammates, it's a crapshoot.

One way is to not even play their zig zag game, and back up off them. They're usually looking to hit the outside 2ptr with zig zag, waiting for a shot to open up. So bait them into an open shot but crowd them at the last minute. Or just take off the side angles so he has to drive the lane...and pray that your teammates are smart enough to pick him up on the drive. Also, limit the reaching. At the very least, could choose to force him into 1pt shots instead of 2pt shots, and live with results. If you take this approach, your teammates may get the clue that you're just gonna play tight and live with the drive.

That advice is fine and dandy, playing help defense and all that. Then you run into 2 players on the same team who do nothing but zig zag and shoot 3's, you force them to drive, your teammate helps and any person who is even decent on offense can make the kick to a wide open 3.. Zig zag is garbage and needs to be cut out of the game.. There is no reason that someone can go left to right to left to right to left and then pop a 3 that goes in more often than wide open spot up 3s...
