Tanking while simming

When ever I sim the first season with the Knicks they alway finishes first in the east? I was wondering if there is a way to get a team to tank while simmng the first season ?

Move Carmelo and anyone else who is putting up numbers to the bench and start your worst 5 players.

I also want some tips for this, because this does NOT work for me lol my team always ends up winning too much (My Bucks myleague got the 8 seed and I was pissed)

The Bucks proble will be a 7 or 8 seed this year. So if you dont want that be a worse team because they finaly dont suck.

Another option would be to turn up the simulation difficulty. Haven't actually used it so can't guarantee it works, but it should do the trick if it does what it's supposed to.

That should work as a fix for him using only one team.

I did a few sims with 30 team control, putting sim difficulty at 0 really helped spread the league records out. Good teams got the few extra wins to get to 55-60 win range. Lots of west teams hit the 50 mark, and the really bad teams didn't break 20.

I noticed it too, the sim engine loves the Knicks but hates the Wizards & Grizzlies

you could manually injure Bargnani, put Smith and Stoudemire on the bench set their minutes to 20 to 30.

The players and coaches don't tank. GMs and owners do. So the best way to do this is to riddle your roster with worse players, just like in real life.

how does this effect the W/L of the team currently selected? (would the 76ers be winning more games if i simmed through their calendar?)

With sim difficulty at 0 the sixers will lose more.

I believe this to only be true with 30 team control. The sim engine doesn't know who to favor because technically all teams are mine.

I think if you were only controlling the sixers and you wanted to lose more, you would need to raise sim difficulty.
