Is there a way to make the announcers say your actual name and not some stupid nickname you have to pick in the game?

If it's a name in their database, they'll alternate between using it and your nickname. AFAIK there's no way to make it use just the normal name.

For example, my last name is Cruise, but I had to spell it Cruz to make the announcers say it. I wish you could pick a name from the database list, but then type in whatever name you wanted to use as the text name.

Hmmm, my last name is Kirk, is that in the database? I don't recall seeing a list of names.

They might say Kirk because of Kirk Hinrich

EDIT: There is also Alex Kirk...he just got traded so they should have Kirk
