Idea for 2K16 MyCareer: Give Negative Badges for Poor BBall Behaviour by Sam Pham

Earning positive badges for good behaviour makes sense. Now for 2k16 take it up a notch and give players negative badges for repeatedly committing detrimental basketball decisions. This might be able to condition My Career players to play with more realism or become more team oriented. I think is important to start slow though, maybe only have 3 of these negative badges in the game. Too many will skew the game weird.

Example: If your player has a Turnover Rate higher than a certain amount (should be set at a large amount of possessions) the gets he "TurnOver King Badge"

Characteristics: With the "TurnOver King Badge" players are more likely to turn the ball over while spamming Turbo or chaining multiple dribble moves.

Try and create more negative badges of your own in this thread, and make sure you create the characteristics of the punishment too if you can ^_^

Chunker badge, where the player is kobe-esque and throws up a ton of shots and ends up the game shooting 4 for 26 or something lol

That's not a bad Idea, a negative badge based on low FG%. But I don't think it can be based off of one game performance; that could end up being too punishing. Is important to find a good balance of reward and punishment. I can see using regular season FG% as a good measure stick for something like a CHUNKER Badge. Maybe FG% lower than 35% after 250FGA.

The 'I'm Not Passing' Badge - for players like JR Smith, Dion Waiters or Nick Young. When these players receive the ball, they are less likely to stay within the flow of the offense and instead freelance and throw up a poor shot.

If this were ever implemented a ton of players would be exposed. Depending on the severity of the badges, there would be 1/4th of "good" players out there based on how many players think they're good

This is a great idea to add realism and nerf the exaggerated effectiveness these type of players have in 2K games. JR Smith always plays great in 2K because in the game he isn't a head case like IRL. Imagine if a negative badge lets players like JR and Josh Smith overrule the general POE/offensive set as determined by the user. Sam Pham wants to play triangle but JR. stands around like we playing 4 out 1 in. With that you can hate playing with JR Smith as a teammate on 2K just like real life NBA ^_^
