How to run plays and react to opponent playstyles

Hey there,
i cant really handle how to run plays.
i try do work it out with the d-pad. The only thing im able to do is making substitutions with "down".
Another thing is how am i able to change what some players do on offense and defense.
For example my center alsways tends to stay in the corner late in the shotclock. Is that because of my playbook (in myteam) ?
And last game my sf always left the weak side to help out even if i usered the center or pg after a pick and roll and the zone was safe (So kickout and open three) despite my POE was limit 3s.

Hey, I'm not the most qualified to answer your questions, but I'll give it a shot. You can run quick plays on d-pad left. For more advanced plays, tap LB/L1 and the icon of the player you want to run the play for. Hold LB/L1 for the smart play.

I think the center stays in the corner because of the playbook, yes, but I'm not positive. Haven't had that happen to me.

As to the SF helping out too much, you can go into the defensive settings at the beginning and make sure your defenders play their opponents tight, that way they won't sag off too much.

Thanks, that helps a lot. By settings at the start do you mean those Points of Emphasis? I have those at limt 3´s (or whatever its called in english version). So is there anything else to change?
