Can someone explain how the 58 game season is broken down?

14 - 1 game against each team in your conference
29 - 1 game against each team in the league
58 - ???

82 game season is as follows:
4 games against the other 4 division opponents
4 games against 6 (out-of-division) conference opponents
3 games against the remaining 4 conference teams
2 games against teams in the opposing conference

You play every team twice home and away.
