This is when the first blatant scripted moment happened. The AI uses their last timeout to get the ball to half court. I have tight defense on everyone but the computer gets the ball into Harden near half court and he goes into the last second short clock animation and swishes it, OF COURSE. But okay, it's James Harden, it was still on their side of half court, fine.
We're in OT and it's continuing, my defense is useless. All their threes (with like 70 rated shooters) are pure makes. I'm getting ridiculous turnover animations but the game is still close.
Here is where the undeniable proof of scripting took place. I'm down three and some BS turnover happened so I got mad and switched to the Knicks to give myself (the Magic) the ball back. Usually to do this I just inbound the ball with the team I want to lose possession, and shoot a full court shot that should be a brick. I have seen maybe two full court shots go in during my entire tenure playing 2K15.
But at that moment, at that pause screen I could feel the game rigging itself for the Knicks so I literally said to myself, "I'm gonna shoot this full court shot and it's gonna go in." I inbound it to Isaiah Thomas and shoot it from the opposing free throw line and he sinks it, pure splash, no rim, just like all the other threes. Knicks go up 6.
I'm playing on Superstar, Sim, with other adjusted sliders. All jump shooting sliders lowered to 40 for both User and CPU, all jump shot defense raised to 75 for User and CPU.
I would like someone to explain this chain of events in terms other than coincidence. It felt like the CPUs shooting sliders had been overridden to 100. Very stupid, frustrating, and fake feeling gameplay that's going to make me put the controller down for a couple of hours.
