    Wide Open Shots

Anyone else struggle to generate wide open shots using traditional sliders?

I was reading something on Basketball Analytics Book which says that a team like the Hawks have wide open shots on 44% of the 40 of so jumpers they take outside of 10 feet (so about 16 a game!). And a wide open shot is classed as no one within 6 foot. There is never anyone wide open like this on 2k15. Wide open corner 3's are really rare I find.

I've started doing the following and I get wide open jumpers. You have to play honest and not manipulate it too much.

    Set Defensive Consistency to 0
    Set Help Defense to 100
    Defensive Awareness anywhere between 20-40.

I play with speed up to about 65 so that the ball travels faster than the players.

Set all players on both teams to Double on Drive & Double on Dribble in post.

It seems like the computer doesn't double every time when you drive until right near the basket and sometimes too late anyway.

Posting is the issue as you get doubled a lot unless you make a quick move before the double comes so you have to play honest.

If anyone has a better way to generate wide open shots I'd love to hear it.

I find calling plays gets you a split second sometimes but don't you find by the time you get into the set you're racing against the shot clock? Could be just me, but I want 5-10 occasions a game where I work it to an open man and have time to take a beat and hit the shot.

Idk man...you gotta run the offense. Drive and kick, or run plays and move the ball quickly...I have open looks all day, even in the corners...

It could be me then I guess. I just don't get these kind of looks.

Many Midrange and 3pt plays take 5/10 seconds to be executed.
Study them in your playbook, practice in scrimmage mode and then use them in game.

I'll give it a go. I do run plays, but I don't get the success i want.

Am i on my own thinking that the help d is poor as well? I very rarely see help when I drive hence drive and kick isn't worth it. Again, if you've got some sliders that help that'd be cool.
