Targeting who to foul

Is there a way to target the opposing team's poorest free throw shooter as opposed to just fouling anyone.

Very ugly to watch but pros should work on their game- fair strategy to attack a weak FT shooter.

hit enough ft and the opposing team will stop fouling you. and it takes care of itself.

No. No. and then another no, I am not giving anyone that argument anymore...that "oh he's in the NBA he should be able to make free throws" bs. This is the NBA, this is ENTERTAINMENT, Greg Popovich himself said Hack-A-Shaq is the "ugliest thing in basketball right now" but for him not to exploit it would be irresponsible. I'm sitting here in the fourth quarter, freaking fourth quarter of a west coast game is on at like 2:30am over here because the Spurs are slapping the crap out of Deandre Jordan every time up the damn floor. I don't care what anyone says, it's bad for TV, it's bad for basketball and it WILL be gone next year...

If you foul someone intentionally off the ball (intent should be reviewable) it should be 2 shots and the ball. That would stop this nonsense dead in it's tracks. /Rant

Apparently some young coaches are pleading to the NBA not to get rid of the hacking. They want the next generation of ballers to learn free throws

Sports Entertainment? This isn't WWE. This is sports competition. The best win. Nobody tries to hack a Duncan.

Also the hack a whoever doesn't work in the final two minutes of a game. If you intentional foul someone who doesn't have the ball late in the 4th it's free throws and possession.

Re: Targeting who to foul

Cant foul to interrupt a fast break anymore. "Clear path foul"

Can't foul to prevent layups, dunks and and1 opportunities because of the liberal continuation calls and overreaction to contact. "Flagrant foul"

Now because coaches are exploiting players weaknesses there needs to be a rule change.

Please don't reduce chess to checkers.
