Force baseline vs middle?

Can someone please tell me the difference between the two and what kind of players will be forced on these options? Thanks!

Forcing baseline in this game equals automatic dunk animation don't do it . Seriously running baseline is a cop out in this game home to the easiest most unguardable scoring animations .

Yes. In real life forcing baseline is one of the things great defensive teams do constantly because it's easier to score from the middle but in 2K shooting and especially attacking the basket from the baseline is very easy.

Force middle. If you've watched any Bulls games you've heard Thibs yell "NO MIDDLE, NO MIDDLE!!" but in 2k you have to force guys to the middle because baseline drives trigger ridiculous warping animations and bails out an offense against good defense.

I force baseline and rarely get those dunk animations, but I play with neutral aggression/protect the paint and good defensive bigs.

Re: Force baseline vs middle?

Force baseline unless you have a great rim protector. Which means always force baseline because for some reason there is no such thing as rim protection in this game due to bad ball physics, dumb A.I. and random foul calls.
If you play online it's a different story though with baseline exploits.

Re: Force baseline vs middle?

Thanks for the inputs guys! I play off-line and never played or will play on-line, I am weird lol, so playing against the AI, it is always a good idea to force the CPU to the middle NOT baseline due to the structure of the game, not in reality right (baseline is like another defender in real basketball games and it is harder to score there vs. the middle)???
