2k12. The last year i felt that the defense was balanced. 12 was not better then 15, but the defense was balanced.

It would be best if this was an option that could be toggled.

By the way, awesome that Beluba himself said he'd make sure this was changed. This is why I trust 2K so, SO much more than EA right now.

Now if only Rick Barry's underhand free throw was put back in for use in MyCareer, I'd be just as happy as the OP.

remember currry crossing chris paul real close to the basket ?
Yeah, I do. But from what I remember that was from 3-4 feet outside the paint, not in the lane. And I wasn't saying that there wasn't still a way to pump fake with the pro stick, I was just saying that being able to more easily pump fake when in the paint seemed much more useful to me than still having access to the iso dribble moves.

But again, I don't shoot jumpers or pump fake with the R-stick, and am very careful with the ball in traffic. So any change made here doesn't really effect me. As long as iso moves in the paint are as risky in game as they are in real life, I'm all for people having the option. It sounds like the devs are already on it.

Steve Nash used to do it. He would do his drive under & past the basket to find his teammates but he would crossover and hesitate sometimes if needed

Damn the old excessive behind the back dribbling while under the rim is bound to return now SMH. This was changed for a reason because CPU defenders dont react and live ball was removed resulting in a paint scoring exploit.

I hope dribble turnovers and some sort of live ball physics have returned.

i figured since ball handling "on the perimeter" with the pro stick

allows us to iso, pump fake, and shoot

maybe the controls "near the basket" could work similarly

for the sake of on court imagination.

much love Beluba

at first you complained about under the rim dribbling, you changed your tune. NO iso moves should be done while under the rim especially since player contact is sparse and 2k is notorious for clipping issues

Also here is the clip, notice where curry starts the dribble move

if your struggling on defense, i suggest you watch some of sam pham's vids.

the goal is pro stick consistency.

this pushes toward that.

by your rationale we shouldnt be able to shoot from half court

unless the shot clock was under 5 seconds..

or even funnier,

we shouldnt be able to go for steals

unless the ball was near us...

That Beluba just immediately came out and straight said, "I'll fix it", makes me think that he is confident that doing so won't make offense OP in any way. So yes there probably have been some gameplay changes that can accommodate those moves.
