Re-branding in MyLeague and MyGM in 2k16?

We know that we have the ability to relocate a team in 2k16, and I get that any information on this process is not out currently, however I just wanted to ask:

Is anyone on here hoping to be able to "re-brand" a team?

For example, I would like to be able to make the Washington Generals using the Wizards, instead of having to move the Pelicans or whatever other team to Washington to make that team.

Relocation in sports games isn't exactly a new thing, I believe in the madden series, "re-branding" was possible. I believe that you were able to take the Jets and move them to NY even though they were already in NY.

I'd like to take a team and give them new jerseys and a new arena design without having to move them from their market.

Is anyone hoping to be able to rebrand a team in 2k16 or do you just want to relocate?

Yes, it would be very cool to be able to change your team name, colors, logo, etc, and stay in the city. It depends if they give us what the Pro-Am people are getting with the customization levels. The teaser thing said "complete and total customization" in MyLeague. If we don't get the Pro-Am levels of customization clearly that quote is incorrect. We shall see.

It would be great. If the high customization showed for ProAm could be used on offline modes like MyGM or MyLeague, possibilities would be endless.

Yeah, I was hoping for a rebrand as well. When I hit 2020, I wanted to move the Knicks to Brooklyn temporarily, during the renovations to the subway below MSG. I would want to rename them at the time.

And teams are rebranding and retooling so much with their franchise these days that it'd be surprising for that feature not to be there.

Totally hoping for this one. Also, the ability to just change a team's logo with the same branding is really really neat as we saw teams do it each year.

As a MyLeague guy, YES! Why not? Especially with this robust creation suite in game. We can play the modes for up to 80 years, let us mix it up to keep things fresh. There a two franchises, Utah and New Orleans, who I would love to rebrand. I want to turn the New Orleans back to the Jazz. It just fits. Rename/rebrand the Utah Jazz as the Salt Lake City Cougars. And basically rip the logo (Cougar atop a mountain) and colors from BYU. I think that would be cool and it "fits" geographically. New Orleans gets the Jazz back, and Utah gets a new aggressive looking logo from a school that pays homage to their region and faith without it being offensive. Not sure why I find naming a team after a faith like "Mormans" offensive. IDK, I just don't find that kind of stuff cool. There are better, more respectful ways, IMO to highlight a regions uniqueness. Sorry for the tangent...

In addition, NBA teams update/modify their designs and colors every few years. Look at the Bucks. Also, there are so many great historic logos in the catalog to choose from and "modernize" like the Warriors did. As someone else mentoned, I'd like to make the Wizards the Bullets again, the logo already exists, or rename them Generals or Senators. Yes! Please give us this option!

yea otherwise you Atlanta Hawks fans are stuck with the neon and triangle jerseys until you move the team.

I mainly just want to re-brand the Clippers so that I don't have to see their new EA logo styled uniforms.

Yeah, I wonder how extensive the list of cities to relocate to will be. I hope each state has several different cities available, some smaller, some larger.

In the past I've seen some pretty good mock-ups done by fans and the more I think about it the more I think it would be super cool if they gave us a share feature with this. That way those more artistically talented than myself could make uniforms, logos, etc. and let us common folk use them.

....but with this lawsuit happy world we live in today that's probably too much to ask, right?

I don't think so there is a logo vault and jersey vault, I think in MLB the Show.
