Freelance/Off Ball movement in the game is terrible

Thousands of times while playing this game I will have a player open in the corner on the fastbreak and he unnecessarily cuts and my pass gets intercepted.
Also whenever I try to post a certain player up I have to reset like 6 times because a player will run right in front of him due to Da Czars new freelance system.
Hopefully this is fixed in 2k16

Mike Wang commented saying that player movement is going to be different. I don't know what the actually quote was though. I do hope that it improves as well, in or realistic way.

Try calling Punch plays for your post ups and you will see better floor spacing and less of the "I see you are posting up so I will stand in front of you" teammate AI behavior. I use these exlusively now to avoid the problems I believe you are refering too.

Now, if I could just get my post player to stop hooking the ball into the backboard or passing out when I get him perfect post position.

Title of the thread isn't even remotely close to being true....in the specific issues you and others mentioned...I would agree...could use some work.

I'm just waiting for a proper motion offense. Whether it's Flex or a moving Triangle, I want an offense where ALL 4 non ball handlers are doing something. Then I'd like to see the patterns in practice so that I can study it.

When I have it on "Motion & Cuts", I'm not seeing it. Too many times do I see everyone just standing there, hoping the ball handler makes some ridiculous ISO play. I literally have to go to the 2k smart play or call an individual play for guys to move and set screens, but I don't like calling plays all the time.

just because players are moving doesnt mean that the offball movement is good lol
mindlessly running around the court is just as bad as players standing around

If the majority of the movement you see is mindless, then a large portion of what you are seeing is on your end....

Czar mentioned it in his videos before the season started, but if you want to see movement pull the ball out and let it develop. Adapting to your movement simultaneously is something he said he'd work on for this year but it's rare guys will stay still a whole possession if you bring the ball out...

I use this all game tbh...I don't call a lot of plays...

I don't know, what you described seems like a pretty realistic representation of the Knicks offense this past season.
