2K16 Scoreboard same as 2K15 -- WHY?

Well I'm going to get straight to the point -- the scoreboard is the same as last year.

Now I value the little things and for me this should be updated every year, and going by historical data from past NBA 2K's it has been changed every year.

It just adds a breath of fresh air to a new game.

How can something so important like this be overlooked?

The community here is going to pour alot of time into NBA 2K16 and looking at the same scoreboard from NBA 2K15 is not a good look.

Am i asking for too much here?

Can this be addressed before the game releases?

This might be a reach but maybe this is just a placeholder because they bought the TNT license and are trying to keep it secret, which would explain why we haven't seen any gameplay yet?

I'm 99% sure it's going to change and they're holding something back presentation wise since there's still like what, 2 months left before release? But forreal dude... with all the new information that's been coming out, this is something so small. It'd be like complaining about menus not being changed from the previous year. This is the stuff people complain Madden about in terms of the only real stuff that gets moved.

It is a small thing but I like getting a new one each year. It's a nice little cosmetic thing.....


That said, the 2K15 one is nice looking so it's not gonna kill me if it doesn't change.

Lmao you guys and the TNT stuff in every thread.
I used to hope for the same stuff only to be disappointed.

I too wished for years they would add NBA on TNT or even NBA TV but I've lost hope. I still hope they add it but they won't. The less you expect the more surprised you'll be in the end.

Maybe Reggie Miller is replacing Steve Kerr? That'd fit in with the TNT thing and we'd finally have him as a playable legend. There's some great Pacer teams featuring him that would be sick to use in 2K. Charles Barkley would work here too.

The 2K15 one looks TNT like..... it's a nice looking score bug IMO.

Why do people keep bringing Barkley? He DOESN'T WANT to be in any NBA videogame...he hates the way the NBA treats it's retired players.

He hasn't and won't the only reason he was in 2k11 or 12 was because Jay Z called him personally and convinced him to do it.

But tbh, I think the presentation might be exactly the same from NBA 2K15.

Scoreboard might indeed be a placeholder but no biggie if its the same imo.. I doubt we see any TNT branding tho most likely far too costly

I could see this being the case....... if they have ANY reason to do it, maybe the ESPN gig across the way are as good a reason as any? Competitive spirit..... but that could be me grasping haha.

The scorebug pretty much is a near copy of TNT's so it makes sense why they'd keep it. It's also pretty clean and works pretty well with other wipes and overlays. I like updated bugs too, but the one they have now is near perfection.

What I will say, is that it may be time to throw in a second graphics package to change it up a bit. They don't even need official licenses, just have two different "channel" packages. The national one would be the current "2ksports" which would be used for "big" games and the second could be a network that has regions tied to the divisions, for example: VCSports Pacific/Southwest/Southeast/Central/Northwest/Atlantic.
Another option would be to just have to different "national" broadcasts to replicate ESPN and TNT.
