NBA/Classic/Euro & now College teams... but no national teams?

The talent a decade ago was more top heavy though. There is sill a wealth of talent in the NBA.

In the current state? Yes. But you have to let the current players develop. Giannis, Mudiay, Wiggins, Exum, Hezonja, etc. They all could be just as good as anyone on that other list (besides Dirk, maybe just Wiggins has that ceiling). You also have prospects like Ben Simmons coming in.

I am old school, and probably out of touch. But couldn't 2K create national teams without the official logos and license? While the license would make it better, it would still be playable with generic logos......the NHL series has done it that way for years.

PES used to do it too for years on the PS2. They would also change the players name like Pele would become Bele.

I would love to play Olympic and World Cup tournaments. Just last night I was watching 1994 World Cup Croatia vs Greece. What a treat to watch Kukoc play...

They could use all the NBA players names....and I assume those on the licensed Euro teams....which would be good enough for me. But admitedly I am pretty casual.

Too little amount of euro teams included to complete national rosters, so its not worth to bother with them if you only use current pool of players.
Its also a waste if they'd include it like classic and euroleague teams that you can only play exhibition games with them.
