The rookies are going to be low unless you are a once a generation talent.

I do think Turner will be higher once the season starts he rebounds, blocks shots can shoot he didn't show he could do it for the whole college season though. He is basically a stretch 4 that is a rim protector just a rare talent

Exactly, Rashidi. I would have been way more impressed had they stated that they improved player archetypes - including adding more player types - while being more consistent, uniform and exhaustive with all objective ratings/tendencies.

And that all subjective ratings and even animation packages have been tweaked for realism. I'm sure the that Beds will do a good job, but they still need to cater to kids that want to perform reverse baseline dunks with a 37 year old Kobe Bryant.

Personally thought some of the ones revealed are a bit high for where they were picked. I know this was considered a relatively deeper draft than top heavy, but still.

2K gets away with a ton of "ratings-speak" over the years because most people have short memories and don't double-check facts/spreadsheets/etc.

Plain as day that there isn't any difference from last year (if anything the rookies might be even higher than usual).

The only thing 2K said they were adjusting was a few ATTRIBUTE scales (which will naturally lead to some minor OVR variance). It's really their way of saying "we've had screwed up rebound ratings for 10 years and it's about time we finally got around to fixing that" (which is why PF/C ratings have tanked, while perimeter positions have been unscathed - akin to ripping a bandaid off one wound to place it on another).
