If you're not going to drive to the basket the way the caps work the shorter the better shooter.

Re: suggested pg height

Model your character after a real-life guard. Chris Paul and Stephan Curry can both be templates, Paul being more defensive orientated and Curry being the offensive template all outside guards love to imitate.

A guard like Isiah Thomas and Ty Lawson can show you the challenges of a shorter guard but keep in mind you are rewarded for succeeding with smaller guards at a higher rate than with taller guards.

There is an active thread showing all the caps. It has different sized guards listed so you get your hard numbers there.

If you chose an outside shooting play-style don't expect to be like a Westbrook - with a max drive rating of 80ish you'll need open lanes to succeed/ Still doable but this year you should not be able to roll over guys like the past.

Or do like I do... create one guard as an outside shooter and one as a slasher, play both and decide which you like better. Then go with the one you like best.

Re: suggested pg height

I plan to create a 6'7 or 6'8 PG Balanced or Athletic and weight about 120-130 pounds.

130 pounds? That really seems light. You might want to reconsider going up 20-30 pounds.

Re: suggested pg height

Look at the height of your favorite real life point guards in the game and choose a height like theirs.
