I managed to snag the game early on the Australian Playstation Store. My download is at 60% so it's not complete. I am only able to use the Play Now mode and go into games with no commentary and no crowd reactions. I'm only going to post a few impressions of the game so far, as I can't access nothing else.
-DEFENSE is amazing! You can actually play defense on your own this year, but it's not easy. Players like Kyrie have broken me down off the dribble constantly, just like in real life. I was able to blanket players using Kawhi, which was very satisfying.
-You FEEL everything with the new foot planting. Every cut, stop, hop, etc. Best addition to any bball game in a long time.
-Height differences are finally more noticeable. I have no problem shooting over smaller players.
-Rim physics are great, have had a few bricks bounce off a long distance, and the ball didn't get sucked in to any player.
-Lots of new contact animations, including sliding on the floor after taking a charge
-stripping the ball on a layup in traffic works well, and feels awesome
-Player's body language on their follow through lets you know what type of release you had. If they're trying to will the ball in, it was probably a bad release
-I have NEVER seen so much movement on the court. Freestyle offense is so legit this year. keep your head on a swivel or you'll loose track of your man on defense
-Those videos floating around don't do justice to the body types, they have to be seen to be believed
-Signature size ups and dribbling is amazing and fluid. Was able to pull off some crazy Steph Curry dribbles, but also lost the ball in traffic a few times
-Zig Zag cheese gone...nuff said
-TONS of updated hairstyles and face scans, but a few of them are still hideous: Gary neal needs to sue 2K, it's just disrespectful at this point Lol
-Contact dunks are sooooo satisfying!
-Player emotions and reactions take the atmosphere to a whole new level. Can't wait for the download to finish so I can see crowd reactions.
-Dunk and layup animations are more fluid. You can feel the power on a tomahawk slam
-The shot altering feature works very smoothly, not herky jerky like before
-lots of cool new dribbles when bringing the ball upcourt
-Superstars are unstopabble if you don't adjust
-CPU plays great defense, even on Pro. You have to work for EVERYTHING
