NBA Passing Question

Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to the 2k series as I just got the game when it became free on PS+. I think I'm learning everything pretty quickly but I have one thing that I haven't been able to figure out.

I haven't been able to figure out how to go up for a jump shot and then instead of finishing the shot, pass the ball to a team!mate instead while in mid-air. I'm sure yall know how to do this and I'm grateful to whoever takes their time to help out.

Lol never mind I figured it out literally right after posting this. You just hold the shoot button and then press the pass button while aiming towards your target while in mid!air.
