Triple Threat Step Back

The description says that you press R2+ Move away from the hoop then quickly release (while in triple threat).

I'm getting a standard up-fake animation as if I wasn't holding R2 at all. Anyone having success with pulling this off? Thanks

I've experienced the exact same thing. Doesn't appear to work.

It's not R2. It's the left stick movement + right stick. So, if you move left stick back + right stick, it'll be a step back. Move left stick to the left or right + right stick, you'll do a side step. Same with moving left stick forward + right stick.

I don't know why the instructions say to use the sprint button. It's straight up wrong.
