Crowd atmosphere non existent!

Kills me when guys are celebrating after a big shot or an and 1 and the crowd is completely silent...not sure if it's patchable though?

Sound problems since 2k on Dreamcast. At least the 6th year running with off crowd reactions.

Not a deal breaker, but I've been saying that since 2k10...enough is enough. Less scripted story, more get things right for the first time in a decade.

Played against the Heat. The stadium never filled up and it was fairly quiet through out.

Seems about right.

Are you saying the crowd "seems about right" for 2k16 or generally basketball atmosphere? Or are you simply singling out that one game?

Take note of the 'transition' crowd reaction. See if the crowd reacts appropriately during home team runs. And various other scenarios. The next game you play, consider taking a mental note of the crowd noise and the animation of the crowd. Although the final minutes of the 4th quarter are better (still needs awareness improvements), take note of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter.

See if the crowd reacts more than 15 second straight. See if the crowd will get loud for more than 1 minute straight during big crazy runs.

If you suddenly go on a home court 10-0 run in the first quarter, see if the home crowd reacts appropriately. A monster dunk or a transition three or a timely two point bucket to put the team up by 8 before the half or nearing the end of the quarter. Note the crowd reaction during free throws.

There's essentially a on/off switch to the crowd. The crowd needs a "dimmer" switch where the transitions are more realistic.

There's a good reason why crowd/atmosphere is one of the things 2k fans has concerns about.

Turn the crowd noise up in the option menu....it helps *some* but certainly not a fix....it's definitely bugged in some spots...

It's like one game has license on crowd noise and the other has license on player emotion

I guess it went over my head. Still didn't quite get the joke

Anyways, turning up the crowd volume ... helps ... to get the volume up but unfortunately doesn't help the "transition" crowd noise.

After a handful of games after pre-release, I was playing a Warriors home game and for some strange reason I had thought the crowd volume defaulted back to its original level. I had already turned up the volume to full 100% max the day before. Decided to see if I could turn up the crowd volume in the menu and low and behold, the crowd volume was maxed out.

Disappointed.

I'm experiencing the same thing on PS4. It definitely takes away from the immersion factor that I thought was supposed to be a thing this year.

It seems like a problem with some teams and not others.

Watch videos on youtube, some games seem fine, some don't?
