How to apply stat upgrades from gym

I keep getting the free upgrade from doing all the practices, but I can't figure out how to apply them? Is it a different screen then the player upgrade one, that you spend VC at? I've had at least 20 practices at this point and haven't spent one free point. Thanks!

You dont actually get to upgrade a attribute category. The ammount of upgrades you can use is increased. For example when you start you only have 75 upgrades to use in the different buckets, when you gain a live training bonus you'll be able to upgrade your player +1 additional time.
So you'll be able to get to 99 ovr instead of capping at 88 ovr.
