This Sums up the Teammate AI Issues (Clip Inside)

No, it was not set to zone. This is on man to man defense.

No, this wasn't a fast break. This was an inbound after I made a layup.

No, this is not intentional by developers to make the game purposely unfair on HOF.

There is something fundamentally wrong with teammates this year on both defensive positioning, decision, offense positioning and decisions.

https://youtu.be/NOf5Dg72_WA

As you can see, Anderson is completely ignoring his man and is on the complete opposite side of the floor. Then stands still like he has nothing to do giving the CPU points when they need them. This is CONSISTENTLY happening. Pass the ball immediately on inbound to a wide open man, shot goes in. Or pass to a cutting big that is being defended by the arch (for what reason, no one knows). This is far more immersive breaking than anything else.

Please help issues like this come to the surface instead of acting like the game is perfect. This is what? The 5th embarrassing example I've shown?

Here is another example:

https://youtu.be/fm3d99tsa9I

Evans starts collapsing as soon as Gasol starts to set a screen. Why? He should be ON HIS MAN unless Rose get's around someone. WHY is he giving Rose a bailout? The CPU almost never makes these kinds of decisions. What is the back end calculation that is making my NBA teammates make intramural mistakes?

The game is currently unplayable in this form. Anyone who thinks this is okay does not know the game of basketball. Period.

This is why I could never play the MC mode. Your AI teammates always are doing something they shouldn't be, not taking shots when they have an easy layup/dunk. I don't see why your teammates can't react like the cpu AI

Uh, on that first clip, why were you not guarding YOUR MAN?

When you leave a guy open like that, expect the opponent to pounce.

"Unplayable" my eye. This was YOUR fault.

As for that second clip: Guess what? In real life, professional players, who get paid millions of dollars a year to play a children's game with a nine-inch ball for the amusement of others, sometimes do stupid things.

The developers said there would be defensive breakdowns.

That is not a bug. That is realism.

But... he was guarding "his" man. He was guarding the ball handler.

As for the second clip, I could be fine with the notion that defensive

breakdowns happen in real life too, and this would be realistic. In NBA 2k16

it seems to happen far too frequently though.

Re: This Sums up the Teammate AI Issues (Clip Inside)

Let's experiment, Can we record maybe one half of raw game play?

This way we can get the total picture. Pick the same two teams, the same difficulty. I will do one too.

I just want to see how often this takes place over the course of a game real time and why., how big of an effect it has, play styles etc.

This isn't me disagreeing or anything....I've seen this too like others....frequency/impact varies between members though.

Let's cut down on bickering and get some solutions! Anyone game?

Re: This Sums up the Teammate AI Issues (Clip Inside)

Every game in MC, I have a play, after a made basket (from my team) where we get back on defense and for some reason my center ends up out of bounds behind thier basket. They come down and thier center PF automatically gets an uncontested dunk. At least once every game.
