"Hesitation" During Dribble Drives

Hey guys- I have done a lot of testing on dribble drives and exploding to the basket. After watching Czars video on movement and driving, I've spent a lot of time in freestyle practice.

What I am noticing is that in freestyle mode, you can create an explosive move to the basket on a consistant basis. However, when playing against the CPU, creating explosion off the dribble is very inconsistent.

As many on here have mentioned, the defense seems to be very "sticky" this year, and there are many instances of warping/sliding being commited by CPU controlled defense. In addition to those issues, it appears that there is a significant "hitch" after performing an iso move, before exploding to the basket. This is allowing for the CPU D to bump and suck into you. (The choppy step hesitation is what give us that stuck in mud feeling)

I am particularly noticing this hitch after performing ANY right stick move. To be honest, since Czars video, I have been playing with the quick tap left stick, and the explosion to the basket seems to be significantly more consistant than the right stick dribble moves.

I understand that Beluba has acknowledged the "hitch" and is working on it for a patch. However, I wanted to get thoughts from you guys/gals on the forum.

EDIT- Here is the video from Czar. This is a GREAT video on dribbling and basic movement.

Re: "Hesitation" During Dribble Drives

This is a great balanced description of exactly what's happening in 2K16. I experience the same thing. 2k15 had the "hitch" as well but it's integrated a little earlier, and slightly different in 2k16. I didn't know they viewed it as a bug. I thought they put it in intentionally to be honest.

Appreciate you showing workarounds we have for it instead of discrediting the entire forum.

The hitch is an intentional design of the game to keep you from blowing by people too easily,

If you could post a screenshot of the link, that would be great.

I am not on twitter.
