Do your CPU teammates follow your defensive settings?

Especially in regards to going over or under screens. Unless it's Rondo, I go over on ball screens. Yet so many times, if Im controlling an off ball defender, my CPU teammate will go under. The other team recognises this and has an open 3. Frustrating. Same goes for off ball screens. I set my guys to switch on shooters like Redick in off ball screens, and yet so often they dont.

Im not sure if this is because I control a bad defensive team or if its not registering.

Notes: This is for offline play, I play All Star sim with a few slider changes.

I've had guys disregard my "play tight" and sag off shooters a good bit....

What I was wondering earlier is if POE settings are overriding what I've set...

Not sure about that. I have my POEs on neutral most of the time. Which team do you play with?

Every 2k game I have purchased has always disregard my coaching choices, specifically when I tell x player to play tight on y. I swear it's a farce

Does any one notice that some times the POE don't stick to what you change them to? For example the last game I played I changed my POE from neutral on D to protect paint during a time out and like 5 seconds later in game it was back to neutral again. I saw this last year to but I have seen no one talk about it. I also wonder how POE even work because no matter what I have them set to I see no difference in the way my guys play. I would love a break down in how POE works even if it was like a million pages lol.

There's so many systems at work. There are POEs, individual settings, ratings, tendencies etc.

I wonder if they are in conflict, and this leads to our instructions being ignored.

e.g. when we set our players to go over picks. Does a poor defender go under this because of their def awareness rating?
