Had this issue as well. After 2-3 years in MyLeague most players start shooting in the high 80s or low 90s for me.

Seems a logical solution to turn it off and then you'll have more difficulty with different players free throw forms. Meter makes it too easy.

Going to LeBron to Jefferson is quite a change for example as RJ releases soo much later.

It's easier to miss without a meter.
I guess you make sense.

Is there a way to turn off FT Meters and not the regular shot meter?

Does that make a big difference for you? Meaning if you couldn't see the feedback would you do worse?

Bit of sticky tape on the top right corner of the tv...

I don't think so. I don't have any meter on - I use the same team all the time so 80% of my shots come from probably 7 guys. I try learning their release points from the shoulders up.

It would make a difference in my opinion vs some of my opponents. When they didn't have the meters and feedback for free throws it forced people to pay attention to the ball and also the animation of the shots. I have played people back then that couldn't shoot free throws with good shooters because they failed to pay attention to detail, vs now they just look at a meter (online) or the feedback (offline) to see where they have gone wrong.

Re: What's the best free throw difficulty?

Thanks again man.

I turned the meter off.

I would keep on the Shot Quality Notification though.
