What's with that annoying 30 second closeup on a player after getting subbed in?

Whenever we get subbed in to a game, or at least a few times a game, we're forced to stare at a player on the opposing team breathing heavily and making hand gestures while the background is greyed out. Why?

Are you talking about in MyCareer? Does the background go black and white? The bug is that its trying to show you info about your next matchup, but sometimes it doesnt work. I think you can still button past it with the circle button just like you could when it is working.

Happens to me too! They close in on your matchup and you can't do ne thing about. It's def some code they gotta fix up.

It is annoying, but the temporary fix is to let the strengths and weaknesses screen pop up and wait for the "Press O to dismiss". If you wait for that, you won't get that odd sub player delay.

It has worked for me every single time. If I hit the button before the "Press O to dismiss" comes up, it typically does that annoying closeup you mention.
