So basically what I'm getting from this thread is that this is all a big respect thing.

Didn't 2K in previous years reward you for playing on ball D? (2K16 is the first year where I'm really trying to learn so I'm not familiar). Like, by added defensive bonuses or something? This could all be easily changed if there were some tangible bonuses for playing on-ball defense (better closeouts, more steals, etc). Did they implement anything like this into 2K16? Until 2K does this, off-ball players will have no incentive to change their style. Because sure as hell "respect" is not gonna change their mindset.

Sometimes you have to switch to off ball early to come o er/under screens, and get off ball defenders in position.

I don't care what people play on me. If they can't D up, it will hurt them eventually.

Good on ball D, in my opinion, online has some serious advantage.

I pay to do a number of things... Its my money. Once another person is paying for something of mine then their input will hold a little weight.

I guess it's OK for you to judge how someone plays a videogame....

But I guess it's not OK for others to judge....hmmm, wonder who plays offball?

For some reason when it comes to onball/offball, the idea of telling someone how they should play is unthinkable. I'd imagine you must never have any complaints over how anybody plays this game whatsoever, right? If you can't complain about letting the PC play the game for you, I have no idea how you can complain about how somebody uses dribble moves.
