This is the only way I get it to work consistently and accurately.
Place most, if not all, of your lighting directly behind the PS4 camera. It's much easier if you use a natural light source like a window, but I found consistent (and quick) results when I placed the camera in front of a window or glass door with natural light flowing through.
For some reason, the camera doesn't track your face well if you're in a artificially lit room despite some of the Youtube tutorials I followed.
My TV was too large to move so I hooked my PS4 up to a computer monitor and placed both in front of a window with the camera atop the monitor (like the example attached). Doing it this way, I got "great" scans very quickly.
P.S. The faces in 2K15 looked far more accurate though. My 2K16 face barely resembles me after a bunch of great scans. Possibly due more facial movement due to Spike Lee's story. Go figure.
